I am finally blogging about our One Year Birthday at Farm Girl. We celebrated on THE day-September 18, 2015- which made it even more special. It’s been a year full of learning, new friendships, lots of fun, stress, tears, laughs, prayer and much more. I am so thankful to be able to do what I love and even more blessed with a God, family, and friends who support my dreams.
We opened up at 10 AM with people waiting for the door to open. I was absolutely surprised and humbled at the response to our party. So exciting and so fun! My sweet friends Aubrey, Jess, and Lindsay as well as my mom, aunt, and hubby all helped me prep days before the big event. There is no way I could have gotten everything done without them. Not to mention others who pop in when needed (looking at you Amy) <—–She’s our Ada Main Street girl. I am sure there our countless others who helped so please forgive me if I haven’t mentioned you.
Our windows are always a stressful task for me. They are nice and large and make awesome advertisement for those who drive and walk by. We always try to pick a theme, plan, and then decorate. This fall we chose a fall/pumpkin patch and a “back to school” theme. It’s so inspiring to watch them come to life.
We wanted the party to start as soon as you walked in, making the cake table our focal point. I love how it turned out. The cake was absolutely delicious, as were the donuts. 🙂
I spent weeks on ordering new merchandise and re-decorating the store. I love how it all came together.
Sadie was a huge helper that day and our official door greeter. She loved holding Scout and walking around talking with customers and showing them “cute” merchandise. I told Jess we were adding her to Farm Girl payroll. Ha!
We sat up Aubrey Lisa Photography a new section with a screen that plays her wedding, lifestyle and birth videos all day. People absolutely love to see her work!
We also made Jess a new little section with this mini spool. I love how it turned out and the new fall line was a hit!
It was a long day but such a blessing. We got to see old and new faces, hug the necks of those who keep our business open, and reap the harvest of months and months of work. I can’t thank those of you who support this dream enough. The good days always outweigh the stressful ones and this, this was a really good day. I pray for more plentiful years at this sweet space.
Thankful to be a Farm Girl.
